Description
Troubadour’s Disability Awareness Concert is an event to help raise awareness for disability inclusion in the entertainment industry through live musical performance. Unfortunately accurate representation and disability inclusion are often neglected in film and television as well as on stage. This concert can hopefully bring additional awareness and opportunity for performers with disabilities. Tobias Forrest is a quadriplegic actor and singer who has been featured in the Oscar choir and stars in the much anticipated film “Daruma”. He is reuniting with his band Cityzen and bringing some amazing guest performers, including Ellis Hall Jr. “The Ambassador of Soul” and Elliot Yamin from American Idol. There are also additional surprise guests who will be lending their talent to create an incredible evening of entertainment.
This event is not a fundraiser for any organizations however some great ones have become sponsors and purchased tickets for members of the disability community, making the show more affordable and accessible. Some wonderful supporters have also helped spread the word by sharing with their online and social communities. A complete list of sponsors, supporters and special guests will be available soon!

Cityzen is a funk infused progressive rock band who have performed at several venues in the past, including Troubadour. Co-founding members Tobias Forrest on vocals and Jeff Line on guitar will be reuniting with several former bandmates who helped develop Cityzen, including: Nick Woods (drums), Chris Woods (keys), Andrew Bartleson (bass), Darek Leiner (drums), Nathan Dugi-Turner (keys), Joe Spangler (violin, sax), Tristan Cannizzaro (guitar), Adam Smith (bass), and Nick Lopez (bass). In 2010, Cityzen released “Invisible Mental Tentacles” which was produced by Scott Hackwith (The Ramones, Iggy Pop) and recorded by 5-Time Grammy Winner Robert Carranza (The Mars Volta, Beck, Bjork). Cityzen will be playing several of the songs from this album as well as the subsequent EP which are both available online. The band may also provide a new song and/or improv jam for a special surprise as they often did at previous shows!
