Ferris Bueller is an entertaining band that plays the most popular hit songs of the 1980s. The band is comprised of
seasoned musicians who have collaborated to create this 80s-themed band. Our performance covers a diverse set of 80s
hits, with a broad enough variety to capture the interest of a multi-generational audience.
The individual members of Ferris Bueller have and continue to perform with major Hawaii acts at stages across the state.
Several of our members have toured with major label acts in both the US mainland and Asia. The current band line-up is:
Dennis James – lead vocals, keyboard, acoustic guitar. Dennis performed extensively on the Chicago scene in Brother
Willis and has spent the past 13 years fronting Ferris Bueller. He brings energy to every show and will do what it takes to
get the party started! Dennis uses Sennheiser microphones, Roland Keyboards and Takamine acoustic guitars.
Rachel Wilson – lead and backing vocals. Rachel’s excellent vocal ability is matched by her commanding stage presence.
A classically trained vocalist, she covers material ranging from Journey to Pat Benatar and draws our audience into that
most excellent 80s vibe during every show.
Sam Seibert – drums. Sam studied drums at Berklee College of Music under the instruction of highly talented players
including Rod Morgenstein and Dave DiCenso. He has produced four CDs and composed two musicals. We are fortunate
to have him providing the grooves that made the 80s so much fun. Sam uses Gretsch drums and Zildjian cymbals.
Andrew McLellan – bass guitar and backing vocals. Andrew is a talented bass player and regularly supports top Hawaii
acts including Keith Batten and Henry Kapono and has toured extensively with high profile artists including Go Jimmy Go.
Andrew uses Lakland bass guitars.
Marc Dexter – lead and rhythm guitars, backing vocals. Marc has performed for over 30 years in the islands. During the
80s and 90s Marc played extensively with recording artists Tuff Luck, Sibling Rivalry, and Redline. Marc captures the tone
and feel of each song whether we are covering your favorite 1980s new wave hit or hair-band ballad. Marc uses Gibson
and PRS guitars VHT, Friedman, and Synergy amplifiers to reproduce authentic guitar tones of the 80s.
