Russell E.L Butler and ADAB turn it up and out as Boys II Them.
This is a Pride event. 10% of the day's profits will go to support GLITS. GLITS creates holistic solutions to the health and housing crises faced by LGBTQIA+ individuals experiencing systemic discrimination at intersecting oppressions impacted by racism and criminalization, through a lens of harm reduction, human rights principles, social justice and community empowerment
We have limited advance tickets here on RA, but if you prefer buying your ticket at the door, or they’re sold out here, don’t worry, we've set aside a good chunk of door tickets for $20. Just come down on the early side to be safe. (The door starts to get busy at 5 and is its busiest around 6.) Tickets at the door will be cash-only, so come prepared for that. We may have an ATM installed by this Sunday, but the company putting it in insists on charging $3 per transaction, so save yourself the few bucks, and bring down a twenty.
If you are in a tough financial spot, just email hello@nowadays.nyc and let us know by the Friday before the party. We are grateful for everyone's contribution to the party after such a fallow period, but money is not a prerequisite for enjoying this moment together.
→ → VACCINE PROOF ← ←
State guidelines that allow us to open at our capacity without social distancing and masking require everyone who joins us to show proof that they've received their final vaccine dose (second dose for Pfizer and Moderna, the single dose of J&J) no later than two weeks before the party they're attending – that's June 13 for this party. The only exceptions to this rule are children under the age of 16, who can come in with their parent or guardian without vaccination proof. You can show your CDC vaccine card, use the Excelsior Pass app on a smartphone, do a printout of your Excelsior pass, or present a record of vaccination from the healthcare provider who gave you your vaccine. A photo of your card is okay. Just be prepared to show an official ID matching the name on any vaccination documentation you present.
The state only allows these proofs, and we'll have to be diligent about them to comply with the guidelines and to make Nowadays as safe as it can be, so please come prepared with only these sources of proof.
→ → SAFER SPACE ← ←
In an effort to create a space where all people feel safe, violence, non-consensual touching, racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexist, ageist or other discriminatory language, and leering are not allowed within our walls or in our back yard. If someone says or does anything to make you feel uncomfortable while you’re here, let us know. All our safer space monitors (look for the red armbands on the dance floor), bartenders, security, managers, sound staff and door staff can help you.
→ → PHONES AND PHOTOS ← ←
Also, for the sake of the vibe, please don’t use your phone or take pictures on or around the dance floor.
