『REBOOTとshop33がデザインするテクノユートピア』 80年代初頭から2007年まで吉祥寺で実店舗として存在し、テクノを含むクロス・カルチャーの集積場としての機能を果たしてきた「shop33」。 現在はWEBとしての運営を続けるshop33は、輸入盤を中心としたレンタルレコード店からスタートし、クラブウェアを中心としたセレクトショップへと変遷し、石野卓球やKEN ISHII、Boom Boom SatellitesといったDJ、アーティスト、クラバーなど感度の高い層から支持され、アニメ監督の森本晃司とのコラボレーションや、村上隆も個展を開催するなど、東京のカルチャーをアンダーグラウンドから支えてきた。 今回、REBOOTを主宰するQ’HEYも在籍し、TAKAMIもスタッフとして働いていたという、ゆかりの深い間柄であるshop33とREBOOTがタッグを組み、文化庁委託事業「文化芸術収益力強化事業」としてイベントを開催する。REBOOTのレジデントDJ陣であるQ’HEY、MAYURI、TAKAMIをはじめ、KEN ISHII、DJ WADAといったトップアーティスト、Risa Taniguchi、Shinichiro Imanariといった次代を担うスター、Lyoma、yohei HIBIKI、NAOKIといった実力派、加えてAHREUM、MIHONOといった強力な若手、ダンスパフォーマンスにMEISAIと、現行のテクノシーンを象徴するラインナップを揃えながらも、入場料無料で楽しむことができる。 テクノという音楽形態がクラブで真価を発揮する音楽であるということを、Contactのサウンドシステムと高品質のテクノに包まれることで再認識してほしい。 【⽂化庁委託事業「⽂化芸術収益⼒強化事業」】 「Techno utopia designed by REBOOT and shop33」 Since the early 80’s up until the year 2007,「shop33」located in Kichijyoji was the go-to place for collectors seeking Techno and cross-culture merchandise. Currently operating online, shop33 began as a rental record store and focusing on imports, then transitioned into a select shop for club wear, gaining the support from clubbers and DJ/Artists as the likes of Takkyu Ishino, KEN ISHII and Boom Boom Satellites. Their collaborations with Koji Morimoto, an anime director, an exhibition with Takashi Murakami has supported Tokyo’s culture from the underground. For this edition, REBOOT, led by Q’HEY, will be teaming up with shop33 with its close affiliate TAKAMI who used to work as a staff. to host an event for「Emergency Comprehensive Aid Package for Cultural Art Activities」for Agency of Cultural Affairs. REBOOT’s legend Q’HEY and top artists MAYURI, TAKAMI, KEN ISHII, and DJ WADA will be joined by the rising stars Risa Taniguchi, Shinichiro Imanari, Lyoma, yohei HIBIKI, NAOKI, AHREUM, MIHONO, and a dance performance by MEISAI.
