Description
Kadhja Bonet makes music that is as varied in approach as it is in style. While a love for vintage soul and psychedelia can be inferred from her recordings, the direction these influences take is broad and her own. With lyrics as deliberate as the arrangements, her latest album, “Childqueen” which came out in 2018 was praised by critics from NPR, Pitchfork and beyond. It features an array of self performed and self produced live instrumentation with lush strings and organic synthesizers. Recently, she’s been a featured vocalist on collaborations with Anderson Paak, SiR, The Free Nationals and others, and her string arrangements have appeared under the flows of prominent artists like Andre 3000 and Pusha T. This event will be intimate evening featuring performances from The Visitor, Childqueen, as well as unreleased songs and classic covers.
