Dwight Yoakam has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide, and he is a 21-time nominated, multiple GRAMMY Award winner. He has 12 gold albums and 9 platinum or multi-platinum albums, with five of those albums topping Billboard’s Country Albums chart, and another 14 landing in the Top 10. Nearly 40 of Yoakam’s singles have charted, with 14 peaking in the Top 10. He received the Artist of the Year award at the 2013 Americana Music Honors & Awards ceremony, the most prestigious award offered by the organization. In September of 2016, Yoakam released his first ever bluegrass album Swimmin’ Pools, Movie Stars… on Sugar Hill Records. Featuring a band of bluegrass luminaries, this album boasts a collection of reinterpreted favorites from his catalogue, as well as a cover of Prince’s “Purple Rain.” Produced by nine-time GRAMMY winner Gary Paczosa (Alison Krauss, Dolly Parton), Jon Randall (songwriter of “Whiskey Lullaby”), and Yoakam himself, and mixed by Chris Lord-Alge, this album reflects the love for bluegrass music that Yoakam developed at an early age in Kentucky, and that has inspired him for many years thereafter. In 2015, Yoakam released his latest album Second Hand Heart on Warner/Reprise records, the follow up to his critically-acclaimed album 3 Pears. In addition to his musical career, Yoakam is a formidable film and television actor, capable of seamlessly melting into his roles, and impressively standing toe-to-toe with some of the world’s top thespians over the course of his storied and successful acting career, including Jodie Foster, Tommy Lee Jones, Jared Leto, Forest Whitaker, and Matthew McConaughey.

Hailing from Dahlonega, Georgia, country singer and songwriter Jobe Fortner’s musical roots run deep. Alongside his family, Jobe grew up singing hymns in church and believed that “You didn’t have to be good…I think everyone felt the environment, room, music, and love…all of it translates directly to what I do today!” When Jobe’s family moved to Monroe, Georgia, his passion for football had expanded and was a main point of focus. As a hobby, however, Jobe began to pick up a guitar and learned to play from his English teacher. Up to that point, most of Fortner’s life had been spent chasing his dream of playing football and was pursued following high school when he attended Emory and Henry College in Virginia. It is there where he ultimately would realize that music was his true calling! During this time, he continued to learn his craft by practicing and playing in his dorm room as well as playing small shows everywhere and anywhere he could. It wasn’t long before Jobe caught the attention of Bradley Jordan (Peachtree Entertainment). Jordan heard him sing “Georgia” and immediately put him on a show with Luke Combs. “That’s where my desire to play music went from, I’m gonna try this to I’m gonna make this happen!” Shortly after that first Combs’ show, Jobe began to tour with and open shows for Luke every weekend. Throughout this time, Jobe was learning from the band and road life but also began building a relationship with his future manager, Chris Kappy (Make Wake). After a year of touring with Luke, Jobe made his next move. In February 2016, he relocated to Nashville to start making a name for himself.
His debut self-titled EP was released in early 2018 and sparked a different level of buzz for Fortner. It garnered the attention of other national acts which led to opening gigs for many artists including: Luke Combs, Riley Green, Toby Keith, Cadillac Three, Whiskey Myers, Cody Johnson, The Steel Woods, and Frankie Ballard.
Jobe’s sound crosses over extremely well from Southern Rock all the way to radio country. It blends all of his influences from his gospel roots, to his country upbringing, and his time on the road. With so many landmarks and accomplishments so far, it is easy to lose sight that Jobe's career is just getting started.
