Description
HU:MAN with Georgia Hurdand Holmes at The Satellite!
HU:MAN is a musical group consisting of producers/songwriters, Kiyanu Kim and Matthew Nelson and singer/songwriter, Torii Wolf. The collaboration began in the summer of 2018. Since then, the trio have been in the studio writing their self titled debut album "HU:MAN" an indie-pop record combining dance and groove with haunting vocals and modern guitar production.
Georgia Hurd is a Los Angeles based indie-pop artist. Her sound blends pop with dark introspective elements. Georgia purposefully blends soulful melodies and moody beats with sparsely layered production to perfectly paint her feelings and aspirations. Georgia found inspiration through a diverse music collection ranging from The Breeders to Prince, and she’s strived to develop her own unique sound reminiscent of Sylvan Esso and Maggie Rogers. The music is ultimately created through a collaboration with her producer, Kyle McCammon.
Holmes is a moody honey pop songstress based out of LA, and you've probably not heard her name yet. That's surprising though because in the span of her career, she's shared stages with 2000's heartthrobs like Aaron Carter, earned a 'Breakout Pop Artist of the Year' title and was a finalist in the Recording Academy's Grammy Showcase. Her new single "Good Thing" is actually the first single and debut video from Holmes but an early indicator that this is an artist ready to make a lasting impression.
