Having started out as Oliver (releasing a few demo tapes) they later changed their name to Cherry Five, releasing one, eponymous, LP. During the completion of this album, Dario Argento helped bring over the members to score his film "Profondo Rosso"; leading to the final formation of Goblin.
GOBLIN return to North America after 3 year hiatus with “The Sound Of Fear” tour.
After their initial shows in North America in late 2013-early 2014, Goblin have announced their
return to North America for “The Sound Of Fear” tour, that starts on Wednesday, October 25th in
Chicago and ends on Sunday, November 12th in New York City. Morricone Youth and Mondo
Drag will split duties opening the shows.
“Our first experience in North America a few years ago was outstanding. The audience response
went way beyond our expectations and the band had a wonderful time exploring the diversity &
vastness of the U.S. and Canada. We feel that it's time to return to our fans and share new
emotions with them & for those who missed the first round. With the original rhythm section back
in the line-up we'll present parts of horror scores never performed live before as well as some of
our new work.”
Goblin is best known for their classic soundtrack work on Suspiria, Dawn Of The Dead, and
Profondo Rosso (Deep Red). In between tours, the band released the album, Four Of A Kind.
This tour will feature songs not played on their first trip to North America back in 2013-2014
