Wonderland *Follow the White Rabbit @Trippy Inspired by Jefferson Airplane's White Rabbit. with Yuzo Iwata (FLOPPY, Pluie/Noir, Malin Genie Music) https://soundcloud.com/fabio-konair In 2011 then Tokyo based DJ Yuzo Iwata moved to Sapporo and started his self organized party FLOPPY at Sapporo Provo. Since 2013 FLOPPY relocated grounds to Precious Hall, where the party is organized on an irregular basis to this day. The party invited Powder and 5ive for them May 2019 edition. In 2016, Iwata took up residence in Berlin, Germany, where alongside working in a used vinyl store, he DJs in Berlin and throughout Europe. As a producer, his 12inch release from the Berlin label Pluie Noir "Kiteki EP" came out in 2018. In 2019 Iwata's track "Phase Five" was included in the 12inch double album 'Rotation Ⅱ V.A.' from Rotate. The same summer, his solo EP "Spoit" was released from Netherlands' Malin Genie Music. A split EP with Levi Verspeek from Netherlands "Dejima" from Rotate, also another track by Iwata's unit with SJ Tequilla - Almost East, "Sonomannma East" from Shot of T are upcoming releases scheduled for the year. It could be said, that Iwata's unique filters for music is comparable to the eminent filters on the acid bassline synthesizer TB-303, with his non-conformist taste towards genres and borders, Iwata's music in both production and track selection embraces a new common language and delights dancers on both physical/mental levels. His origin of the Japanese and Cuban descent, binding two different ethnicities from the opposite side of the world, is possibly a contributing factor.
