Q Nightclub presents Field Trip featuring
NEON STEVE
There are not many Canadians that can claim they’ve held down top spots on Juno; Hypemachine, DJCity, Soundcloud, and Beatport charts, had exclusive premiers on taste-making blogs like Run The Trap and Vice Media’s Thump, had tunes featured on Ministry of Sound compilations and get regular plays on Diplo and Friends on BBC 1Xtra – but Neon Steve can. The peer-declared nice guy and Shambhala Music Festival resident, known for his luminous attire in addition to his fresh beats, has jumped ahead in the game and is quickly showing why he’s well on his way to solidifying his spot among the scenes best and brightest.
From humble beginnings on the Canadian West Coast, Neon Steve has cultivated his sound as a DJ/Producer, resulting in a reputation for high energy sets that blend and twist conventional genres. Unrivaled in his ability to keep a crowd guessing all the while jumping, a Neon Steve show is an exploration into underground bass music, sprinkled with fragments of your parents or even your grandparents favourites.
MARTEN HORGER
Imagine Bassmusic, with an analogue soul, coming straight from the motherland of Electro. Sounds good? Well, that´s Marten. From Australia to North America and Europe to Asia, Marten Hørger has amassed a following of devoted fans and made a lot of Bass-loving friends along the way.
He started his career at the age of 15 and although he wasn’t allowed to be in the club legally, he still managed to secure a residency at 'Douala’, one of South Germany’s most famous underground techno club. Marten first gained international attention when German Elektro originator Westbam labeled him 'the new wonder kid of bass music.’
Since then, he’s donned the hat of both DJ and producer, releasing a crate-load of music to critical acclaim. His first-ever solo release 'LGFU’ earned him two international Breakspoll Awards for Best Single and Producer of the year. In the following years Marten developed from a scene hero into a global tastemaker and managed to find his very own sound somewhere between Bass, House, HipHop, Trap, Elektro and Broken Beat.
Field Trip is our night for electronic music - mostly house, trance, breaks, and bass house. Recent headliners include Tchami, AC Slater, Pete Tong, Luttrell, and Sander Van Doorn.
