Description
Celebrating World Pride Fucking Walking in Leather.
The S&M Ball pays homage to the two worlds that shaped Venus Cuffs. The BDSM culture and the underground ballroom community. The leather, latex, whips, chains. The chanting, dance, culture, community. This is an opportunity to celebrate us. World Pride is among us club children. The lights are set. The music is going. The time is now. Hit the dance floor and show this panel what you got. Join us for the S&M Ball, as we welcome World Pride and mark the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots and 50+ years of LGBTQ+ liberation.
$10 Advance / $15 At The Door.

::::: BALL CULTURE :::::
Balls are an intentional space for queer and trans people of color. You may know about Vogue from Madonna, but it has roots in the historically marginalized black and Latino queer communities. If you are not from this community - if you are not familiar with the norms of this culture - please be mindful of the space you take up. Do not push to the front to take photos or videos, and do not stand in the way of dancers. If you would like to participate, make sure you understand completely what each category means before entering. If you are an ally or a spectator of this culture, the best way you can show your support is by buying drinks at the bar. By patronizing the bar, you make it possible for our venue to continue providing space to events like this.
::::: ABOUT VENUS CUFFS :::::
Venus Cuffs is a seasoned Dominatrix, Consent Ocean, Cuddle Muffin, and Party Promoter. She found the ballroom community at age 15 as a homeless Queer youth going to HMI for Kiki Lounge. She walked face in the Kiki Scene under the house of McQueen (her first house) and fell in love with Ballroom. Her LGBT peers quickly became family and Ballroom was a safe haven they called home. Now at 27, Venus has her own torture chamber of excitement and lust. She no longer walks face but instead chooses to provide space, be a quiet sponsor, and uplift the ballroom and BDSM community. She has appeared and collaborated with Angela Yee’s Lip service, VH1, The New York Post, and Jessamyn Stanley. She has also been a consultant for VH1, HBO, and Viceland.
::::::: SAFER SPACES POLICY :::::::
House of Yes is a space for everyone to feel welcome. We have a zero tolerance policy for harassment, unwanted touched, homophobic, transphobic, racist, sexist, ableist, or ageist behavior. Always ASK before touching anyone at our events. If someone is making you uncomfortable or harassing you, please come speak to a security guard or ask for a manager. We will believe you, and we will help. All restrooms in our venue are gender neutral. Everyone is free to use the restroom that best fits their gender identity or expression. All entrances and spaces within the venue are single-level. There are stairs leading to the upper portions of the stage, for those who wish to dance in the spotlight. Strobe lights are used during performances and parties. Questions about our consent policy or procedures?
