Kendell Marvel
Already an award-winning songwriter, having written for Chris Stapleton, George Strait, Brothers Osborne, Jamey Johnson and Jake Owen, Kendell Marvel made his solo debut in 2017 with the highly praised record Lowdown & Lonesome.
Born and raised in Southern Illinois, Marvel began playing his first gigs at 10 years old. "My dad would take me out to bars, and I'd play old country covers," he remembers. "Dad would get free beer, and I'd get free pickled eggs or beef jerky. I was hooked."
Following the release of critically acclaimed Lowdown & Lonesome, Marvel toured through 2018 with Brothers Osborne, Gary Allan, Jamey Johnson, A Thousand Horses and more, and hit the festival circuit with performances at Stagecoach, CMA Fest and Luke Bryan’s Crash My Playa. Marvel hasn’t slowed down in 2019 having just finished an Acoustic Tour with Elizabeth Cook and Chris Shiflett of the Foo Fighters. Later this year, he will be featured as an opening act for Chris Stapleton’s All American Road Show U.S. tour. Marvel’s follow-up album to 2017’s Lowdown & Lonesome is set to release later this year.
