Event Details

After nightfall, we’re transferring a crop of talent from London’s western limits to central on both legs of our weekender. Naturally, the only place fit for such an After Hours is at the home of our Friday stage hosts, fabric. As part of their XX birthday celebrations, the dance will continue below surface at 77a Charterhouse Street on both nights.

In keeping with the diverse nature of the daytime session, Friday’s jaunt to EC1 will showcase a cross-pollination of underground styles. High octane disco comes courtesy of Rush Hour maverick Hunee, with Dan Snaith donning his Daphni guise alongside him for a special back-to-back performance. De School resident Job Jobse graces fabric’s hallowed booth following his appearance on The Bridge, while Fort Romeau brings his melody-affected style of house to the space. Timedance boss Batu showcases the sound of his futurist Bristolian imprint, joined by another key exponent of polyrhythmic UK beats, re:ni.

Saturday’s proceedings balance heavyweight techno with sleek house. Festival ambassador and techno deity Adam Beyer repeats his day-and-night dual set from J2’s launch at the end of last year with a late-night Farringdon appearance, uniting with Maceo Plex for a rare head-to-head session. Dax J and Jay Clarke also prepare to embrace the genre’s harder end alongside longstanding Farringdon mainstay Terry Francis, while French trio Apollonia land to serve up lean house for the entire night in Room Two.

Maceo Plex

Located deep within the circuitry of a mechanical alien host known as Maetrik you will find a complex web of synaptic dispersements resembling what could be called a soul. And this soul which drives it's host and manipulates it's every move is finally beginning to emerge. Its name is Maceo Plex. The emergence of such an entity has been the result of a need for feeling, a need for interplanetary funk. We as humans consider this need a feeling, a feeling rooted in emotion, and emotion being the very basis... View More
