Description
Stranded By Choice is a Northern hard rock band formed by singer/bassist Rich Feeley. Drawing on influences from their hometown of Billings, Montana, the band creates a unique blend of classic rock and metal themes while maintaining an original perspective in both their music and performance. In 2012 they recorded their self titled EP, shortly after drummer Levi Luoma brought his hard hitting style and influence to the band. Priding themselves on being first and foremost a live band, Stranded By Choice has toured the Montana region consistently, playing countless shows and sharing the stage with local, regional and national acts. After hiring guitarist Scott Waddington in 2013, the band evolved to include more complex songwriting and a more energetic live show. In early 2014 Stranded By Choice released their first full length album, The Circle. Met with positive reviews, The Circle showcases the band’s sound and diverse influences. In addition to powerful vocals and bombastic drumming, the SBC sound is built on the foundation of the thick, dual guitars provided by Waddington and newest member Sean Young. Young not only brings his talents as a guitar player to the band, but also has helped to refine their sound and direction. Stranded By Choice has been nominated for several Magic City Music Awards and has been featured in Noise and Color Magazine, The Billings Gazette, Enjoy Magazine, and the Billings Outpost. They were also featured in Paste Magazines “50 States Project” as well as numerous online publications, blogs, and reviews. The band has been featured on radio stations including 96.3 The Zone, Hot 101.9, MTRadio.net and Music Ranch Radio. With a professionally recorded, mixed, and mastered new album on the way, we've decided to take down all our past songs and focus on the material were most connected to, both old and new.Production of our new album, Hellroaring, began in December 2015 at Ranch Road Recording under the direction of Trace Ritter and will be released in early 2016. Until then, follow the band and watch for updates on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and check our Show Schedule for gig dates.
