Celebrating 35 years this Spring, Chris Daniels and the Kings with Freddie Gowdy are a rockin’ 7 piece band known all over the world for making great R&B, funk, "jump blues" and Funk & Roll. The bands captivating, high energy performances are full of chart topping originals and some of your favorite blues and funk covers. Doing more than 120 dates per year touring over two continents, the bands has also headlined major international festivals and have served as the back up band for Garth Brooks, Bonnie Raitt, Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Johnnyswim, Sonny Landreth, David Bromberg, Al Kooper, Bo Diddly, and Was Not Was at the Roxy in LA to name a few. Focusing on fun, The Kings have lasted longer than most Colorado groups and have been a crucial part of Colorado’s funk and blues scene for over 3 decades. Chris was inducted into the COLORADO MUSIC HALL OF FAME in 2013 with Judy Collins and he has appeared with the B.B. King, Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Joe Walsh, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, John Oates, The Lumineers, Uncle Cracker, Blues Traveler,The Neville Brothers and many more. The Kings have also headlined on major international festivals, and have served as the back up band for Johnnyswim, Sonny Landreth, David Bromberg, and members of Little Feat. The Kings have created a legacy here, on radio, Youtube, Spotify and overseas - they are Colorado’s horn-band rock n funk - blues ambassadors to the world.
