ABOUT DANNY HOWELLS:
Danny Howells doesn’t fit into the standard dance music paradigms. With a reputation as “the DJs’ DJ”, he has remained stoic in the face of ever-shifting trends and fads in dance music since he broke through into the global house music consciousness in the late-’90s. He doesn’t churn out productions to “remain relevant”, instead only releasing music as and when inspiration strikes. He’s not a publicity hungry, social media devotee. He’s not someone who feels the need to reinvent himself with new monikers or side projects, nor someone who aggressively pursues a maxxed-out DJ’ing schedule. Quietly ploughing his way through the house music continuum, he has remained one of the world’s most captivating selectors precisely because of these organic means. That and his impeccable selection, distinctive style and silky mixing, of course
ABOUT DAVE SEAMAN:
Simply put, Dave Seaman is one of the legends of electronic house music.
In the current world of ever-diminishing attention spans and fast-moving, here-today-gone-tomorrow, disposable club culture, its Seaman's passion and dedication for the scene he loves, that still sees him regarded as one of the industry’s most in-demand headlining DJs and constantly touring the world.
The first editor of Mixmag has created over 20 mix compilations for the world's biggest brands, was the man behind Kylie Minogue's perennial hit, 'Confide In Me' and has remixed some of the world greatest artists and bands, including the late David Bowie, New Order and Pet Shop Boys.
His latest imprint, Selador Recordings, now in its fifth year, continues to challenge for its place as one of the leading imprints in dance music and is constantly supported by the world's elite.
‘3D’, born out a gig together with long time mates Danny Howells and Darren Emerson at Ministry Of Sound, continues to notch up bookings at the world’s most high profile clubs and festival. The DJ trio have performed a string of festival dates in 2018, whilst touring Europe, North and South America, which has seen their appetite for destroying crowds as a unit continue to grow.
Seaman has always managed to remain at the top by always challenging for his place and more importantly delivering for clubbers. With almost 30 years in the game, he looks set to reaffirm his legacy with his biggest project ever. Naturally its massive and something you’ll be hearing about soon.
ABOUT DARREN EMERSON:
Over 30 years in the game and Darren Emerson remains one of the best loved, most highly respected and in-demand artists in the business.
Put simply; he’s worked and collaborated with the best there is. He’s played every major club and festival on earth. Sold millions of albums with Underworld. Rocked the Pyramid stage at Glastonbury. Had his own night in Ibiza and that's mentioning hardly anything; just check his Wikipedia.
Always pushing for progress, he launched his new talent platform ‘Detone’ in 2012 in a bid to discover and to nurture the next generation of techno talent, at a time when the industry was only concerned with big names.
Carl Cox still regards him as an all time favourite and continues to add him to the line-ups for his massive Intec parties worldwide.
His ‘3D’ offshoot with Danny Howells and Dave Seaman continues to set dance floors on fire. Born out of a gig together at Ministry Of Sound, the DJ trio have played a string of high profile festival dates this year and already notched up successful North and South America tours.
Emerson’s brand new imprint, ‘Distant Planet’, looks set to grow his legacy. His biggest project yet will serve as the new platform for his own productions and feature other forward-thinking techno from the world’s elite.
In the know fans will be relieved to know that his alias ‘The White Lamp’ finally set to release more music this year.
And with a new live mix album slated for September, plus a Distant Planet showcase in the works for ADE, Emerson looks set to continue his reign at the top and rightly so. There could be nobody humbler or more deserving in our opinion.
