Surreal Flight
Do Not Sit welcomes our good friends Mira & Chris for a special back to back experience in our intimate setting...
For this very special night, we will bring in our sound healers, light seekers and love givers to bring that extra tantalizing vibe for the night.. We will start out the night with a special sound healing opening ceremony and bring all our good vendor friends in our Do Not Sit garden to share their delights... We'll have our mezcal / tequila bar ready for our guests as well as a very special culinary food vendor. All roads lead to Do Not Sit on this magical night so make sure to get your pre-sale TIX...
MIRA:
Even though being the latest discovery of the Bar25 Musician Crowd, Mira is by no means a newcomer. Hailing from Halle, Germany, she has enthused her front row followers with her expressive melodic and minimalistic house sets for already more than a decade.
With female easiness and musical depth she takes on the task of going further than striking superficiality: “always the best” is not only Mira’s front row slogan but also a personal challenge and a path chosen with passion. She has made her hobby a profession.
As one of the key members of the Katermukke family, she’s seen the evolution of the Berlin ‘Kater’ scene grow from places like Bar25 to Katerholzig to now Kater Blau. A simple description of the place wouldn’t do it justice. You have to be there to witness the intricacies, nooks, and crannies that create such a unique vibe.
CHRIS SCHWARZWALDER:
Much could be said about self-made man Chris Schwarzwälder, who is both a trained chef and budding DJ. But the years of dedication he has been putting into the crafting of his music can be best appreciated in his sets and his recent productions.
Having started to spin Hip-Hop records in his hometown of Frankfurt/Main he eventually ended up in Berlin, where his already very nurtured and rich musical understanding started to fall into place. Discovering a party-life that seemed to have no beginning or end, while still cooking full time to live and eat, contrasted with long hours of listening and selecting songs in the isolation and tranquility of his home. All this has shaped his distinctive, slightly plaintive and dark, moll-dominated, but in the end always uplifting style.
His 'Mirrors' EP on Katermukke and 'Akumal' on Laut & Luise, where released to wide acclaim and already show his versatility and finesse. His remixes and co-productions, most prominently for/with Nu and Acid Pauli don't do anything but confirm his musical pedigree and make us eagerly await all the marvelous things yet to come from this fledging artist.
