Description
March 22nd's popular Throwback Thursdays at Decades will have an added call to action. On this night, promoters DC Clubbing will be partnering with iconic relief organization Charity Water for a special "Thirsty Thursdays" event. The 22nd is World Water Day, and on that night, DC Clubbing will highlight the work of the well regarded non-profit organization known for bringing clean, safe drinking water to people in developing countries. A percentage of bar receipts and donations received that night will be given to Charity Water, with DC Clubbing matching up to $3,000 in net revenue. An estimated 114 citizens in developing countries worldwide will be the beneficiaries of a bit of giving being added to one of the Nation's Capital's current favorite nights on the town.
Intriguingly enough, Charity Water was started 12 years ago by Scott Harrison, a nightlife promoter in New York City, who, similar to DC Clubbing, deep down wanted to provide a more significant benefit to the lives of people worldwide.
Doors at Decades open at 9 PM on the 22nd.
