Description
Berlin-based artist Objekt has garnered an enviable reputation for attention to detail, evocative arrangements and inventive, effervescent sound design, coaxing sonic features from the most unlikely of places. His early productions pointedly flout techno conventions while maintaining an unfaltering club focus while his debut album Flatland pushed further into sonic and structural experimentation. His DJ sets, while broadly focused on techno, frequently duck and dive between the hypnotic and engrossing, incorporating off-kilter broken beats, breakneck electro, acid, noise, house, EBM and anything else necessary to illustrate his version of events.
Objekt is playing at Good Room for the first time and will be joined by Bristol artist Pessimist. Having released his self-titled debut LP in July, the producer makes cutting edge techno-dnb hybrids with a dystopian backdrop. Brooklyn-based electronics artist, DJ, producer, modular synth builder and operator Antenes completes the Good Room line up, on warm up duties.
Rotterdam based DJ, founder of Pinkman Records and its offshoot Charlois, Marsman is headlining the Bad Room. The avid collector has a strong affinity towards twisted electro, blistering EBM and vivid techno cuts he can seduce you from any angle. He will be joined by two local techno crews, The Long Count Cycle and Remedy's Amourette & Maroje T.
