Description
The group is led by blood brothers Jeremy and Gregory Pearson. The Pearson brothers’ passion in music began in the earliest years of their childhood. They were raised in a single parent household in Charlotte, NC, and fell in love with music watching their mother sing in funk and gospel bands, attending her rehearsals and shows as children.
The Pearson brothers began playing music together as far back as they can remember. For Jeremy’s high school graduation gift, Gregory bought him a Fender Stratocaster and they’ve been performing together ever since.
After graduating, they moved to Atlanta to explore music professionally. Experimenting with different genres and performing under various aliases, they began to develop their sound. Eventually, they decided to pack up their lives and venture out to Los Angeles where they started to write their debut EP.
Set to release April 2015, THRILLERS’ debut EP: "Cotton Candy Kisses" is influenced by new wave rock and early-80s soul. Teaming the sounds of 80’s funk idols like Billy Ocean, Isaac Hayes and Cameo, with the electronic influences of the late 2000’s, THRILLERS wanted to capture a signature electro sound that can be best described as 'Future Funk'.
“It’s dedicated to the thrill, love and the essence of beautiful women; it’s us in our most vulnerable state,” explains Jeremy.
Solange Knowles premiered their new wave funk single "Can't Get Enough" on her culture blog Saint Heron. Days later Twin Shadow personally requested the band to perform at his LOW Los Angeles underground party as their debut live performance.
THRILLERS debut EP "Cotton Candy Kisses" is scheduled to be released Summer 2015
