Description
Three is one of America’s most respected DJs. Hailing from New York City, he's quietly and steadily earned the respect of his peers the world over through a handful of truly unique productions and a signature DJing sound encompassing all things house, techno and beyond. This sound, a strong knowledge of tradition capped by a fondness for the cutting edge, continually puts him through a variety of tour dates that show not only diversity in audience, but a genre-bending passion for good music. He’s held residencies at legendary American clubs like Florida’s Simon’s and NYC’s Twilo and has played lauded guest spots at benchmark parties like San Francisco’s Wicked Crew and the UK’s Fabric. More recently in NYC, residencies with Robots at Cielo and his Star Spangled parties at Love have left an indelible mark on the city.
The annual Hallucination Limited event at Miami’s Winter Music Conference and his long-running Snatch residency in Tampa, Florida are favorites of DJ’s and clubbers the world over. Echoing his wide tastes as a DJ, his rare production output as Second-Hand Satellites, Three A.M. (classic remixes of Rabbit in the Moon) and Montage Men has captured a not-so-common cross section of ears from house to techno played by the likes of Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier, Sven Vath, Craig Richards and Sasha. Recent remixes include Mish Mash feat. Lois – Speechless (Three’s Lost in Translation mix) on Crosstown Rebels, U.N.K.L.E. feat. Ian Brown – Reign (Three A.M.’s Black Swan mix) and the soon-to-be-released mix of Sasha – Coma (Three’s Star Spangled dub) on EmFire.
After a decade of involvement with one of America’s most beloved underground labels Hallucination Recordings (Rabbit in the Moon, Second-Hand Satellites, Dynamix 2). Three launched the Hallucination Limited imprint in 2003 as a platform for other like-minded artists. Ignoring trends and signing tracks meant to stand the test of time their releases are highly sought after, if not nearly impossible to find in their limited vinyl runs. After a two years hiatus, the back catalog will be unveiled this winter during Miami's WMC 2008 in an exclusive deal with Beatport.
