South Yorkshire act the Reytons deliver a heavily accented, down to earth style of indie rock, not too far removed from the early work of their predecessors, Arctic Monkeys. With members originating from both Sheffield and Doncaster, the quartet came together in 2017 after chance meetings at open-mike nights and recording studios. Vocalist and lyricist Jonny Yerrell and bassist Lee Holland recruited Joe O'Brien on lead guitar and Sean O'Connor on drums. Soon after the release of their quirky and mouthy debut EP, It Was All So Monotonous -- on Manchester label Scruff of the Neck -- O'Connor was replaced by Jamie Todd. Within months, they'd reinforced their canon of tales of working-men's clubs, cheap nights out, and children out late playing, with November 2017's Kids off the Estate EP. Alcopops & Charity Shops followed in August 2018
