Sydney Slain developed her ear for electronic music in the Chicago club scene in the nineties. The birthplace of house music, Sydney surrounded herself with DJs and those who loved the various genres of deep house, tech house, tribal and disco house. However, she didn't actually start DJing until several years later after moving to Atlanta. It was in Atlanta where Sydney Slain started to develop her sound. Melding her Chicago house roots with the hip hop that Atlanta is known for and the international sounds that can be heard all over the city, Sydney's style is hard to define. But it is not hard to feel.
Sydney Slain plays all over Atlanta at clubs like the Sound Table, East Side Lounge, and The Basement. And Sydney Slain has opened for electronic bands Yelle and Bomba Estereo.
