Suzy Solar (Florida, USA) shines as an internationally acclaimed trance and progressive music artist. This multi-talented DJ, vocalist, writer, music producer, event coordinator and actress is becoming a legend since her start in 1997. Her track “Ocean of Love” is featured on Paul Oakenfold’s Grammy nominated album “Creamfields,” and was released on EsNtion Records with a music video. Suzy’s mix albums, “The Perfect Trance” and “The Perfect Trance 2.0,” on Neurodisc/Capitol Records have topped Billboard’s U.S. Electronica charts. “Samurai,” her collaboration with Arizona (Thomas Bronzwaer) has graced dance charts worldwide, including Beatport’s top 10. It’s supported by the world’s top DJs, including Armin Van Buuren (ASOT episode #248) and Ferry Corsten. “Samurai” also appears on the “Technics DJ Set Volume 16” compilation and Riley & Durrant’s “A Quest For Trance 2”.
Suzy is currently on fire, keeping busy with upcoming gigs and new music productions. Her company Solar Power Music, Inc also throws trance events regularly in central Florida and beyond. She’s a pioneer for trance in her hometown, Tampa and has played in nine countries, both headlining and opening for the biggest names in trance, such as Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Paul Oakenfold, Above & Beyond, Cosmic Gate and many more. She’s placed at #93 in the TrancePodium 2016 Top 100 DJs poll. She is known for her intuitive ability to rock dance floors with beautifully flowing mixing skills, magnetic stage presence and uplifting energy. Her popular radio show “Solar Power Sessions” is one of the longest running weekly trance shows in the world. Founded in 2001, it’s passed the 700 episode milestone, celebrating with “Solar Power Sessions 700” club events in California and Florida. She’s also featured on prestigious radio shows, some of which include “Lost Episode” on DI.FM, BBC Radio’s Dave Pearce “Trancecast,” Paul Van Dyk’s “VONYC Radio” and “Mondo Vs Noys” on Ministry of Sound Radio.
In 2014, Suzy teamed up with Polish producer Matt Chowski to form the powerful trance duo, Xenera. Their unique sound pushes the boundaries of the imagination with creative lyrical themes, delving into the psychedelic, tech and uplifting musical realms. Their debut release, A.Shine – Dove (Matt Chowski & Suzy Solar pres Xenera Remix) [Salve Music] had support by Roger Shah and Adam Ellis. In 2016, the duo released “1XE” and “Destination For Exploration” on Always Alive Recordings, with support by Mark Sherry (Outburst Radio cut of the week), Alex M.O.R.P.H., Indecent Noise, M.I.KE. Push, RAM and more. In addition, Suzy also has other tracks to be announced soon, including a collab with Tangle on Alex M.O.R.P.H.’s label Universal Nation.
