Stacy Christine's foray into DJing took place under the wing of Joshua James of Music For Dancers (MFD) in 2012. Selecting records and cohosting several parties, it was at MFD that she made a fateful friendship with Chris Bowen of Bears in Space, LA. After the unfortunate closure of MFD, Chris Bowen took Stacy Christine on as a protégé, offering her her first DJ gig in 2015 at Bowen and Victor Rodriguez's monthly Friday night party, Cub Scout, a wilderness-themed party at Silver Lake's gay institution, Eagle LA. From there, one could say her career jumpstarted to life. She garnered her first monthly residency at Pitch Black City in DTLA with Chris Bowen and Victor Rodriguez, becoming an official member of their DJ collective, Critter Control that same year. In 2016 she joined Bowen and Rodriguez as a resident of the beloved underground party, Shits and Giggles and began opening for their seasonal LA party, Bears in Space.
