Description

UK DJ/ producer Jon Gooch first debuted Spor back in 2006. Releasing a solid run of tracks and EPs on his Get Lifted label, it was 2009 cut ‘Aztec’ - released via Shogun Audio - that first cast him into the wider spotlight. After deciding to leave his Spor alias behind indefinitely a few years later, Jon started to record under his Feed Me moniker - a move that saw his new, hybrid brand of electro-house club music catch the attention of some of the world’s biggest electronic artists. After signing to Deadmau5's Mau5trap label - releasing ‘The Spell’ in 2008 - followed by his debut artist album ‘Feed Me's Big Adventure’ in 2010 - his profile continued to grow, to the point where remix work for artists like Chase & Status, Nero and Gorillaz soon followed. The resurrection of Spor in 2015 thus marks a significant point in Jon’s career and ‘Caligo’ ultimately represents a very personal journey for the producer. “I am able to reach good decisions and really represent what’s in my mind with total clarity”, he explains, “so if its anything but the best Spor release I have done I will be disappointed.”
