SOHMI is a Korean American DJ, producer, and vocalist. A lifelong musician and classically trained pianist, SOHMI began frequenting the LA underground club scene after moving to Los Angeles from New York in 2016. By early 2018, her passion for the music and culture drew her to explore her own voice and sound behind the decks. Since then, she has moved quickly to study music production at Anonymous Studios (mentors include Sacha Robotti, Doc Martin) and has played at iconic LA venues like @SoundNightclub. She has also performed as a featured vocalist at @SplashHouse and is currently working on collaborations and releases with some of LA's most exciting up and coming producers. As a DJ, SOHMI brings together her eclectic background (she was raised in Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Seoul), musical influences, and love for storytelling to create emotionally compelling yet highly danceable sets for the dance floor. Keep a look out for upcoming releases and continued appearances by SOHMI in 2019 as she continues to build on all the groundwork and momentum laid in 2018.
