Markie Gee developed his eclectic style throughout the 80’s and 90’s cultivating his knowledge of disco, jazz, punk, house, funk and rock. Gee distinguished himself as a taste-making writer, record reviewer and dj. Gee has been an influential college radio program director, record pool director and resident dj in Boston, CT, Miami and NYC for over 20 years and has performed throughout North America and Europe. Gee promoted hundreds of events and has written about and performed with a who’s who of dance music including Moby, Robbie Rivera, Larry Powers, Danny Tenaglia, Baggi Begovic, Todd Terry, Josh Wink, Stefano Noferini, Doc Martin, Erick Morillo, Dave Dresden, Sonny Fodera, Steve Mac, DJ Disciple, etc.
Gee maintains a substantial following in both the deep house and electronic dance camps. He has done guest mixes for KCRB, SS Radio UK, Radio Studio House France and Deepsound.FM London and hosts weekly spots on WTC House Radio London and Sobel Nation Radio NYC (syndicated in over 200 markets internationally). Gee was named as a Top 50 artist on the I Love House Music website and has over 105,000 listens on his new iPhone app that launched at WMC 2011
