Lohrasp Kansara (DJ L). Celebrity DJ, Actor, Model and World Tour DJ. HISTORY: In a field where there is always a new guy bringing some new tricks to the game, DJ L constantly ups the ante. A DJ with a workday that spans way beyond the dj booth; L is endowed with the rare ability to wear many hats - as a DJ, model, artist, actor and a young mogul. To date, DJ L is quickly becoming one of the most sought after DJs in the industry. "I've always believed in the importance of creating a name and following for myself by being able to do many different things -whether it's by djing, modeling, acting, or even anything else that i'm passionate about" says L of how he christened his imprint. "I am always working. My work ethic is very different from most people since i cannot live without doing my passions. And in order to fly to my dreams, I will build myself by myself like Iron Man did". DJ L, borne Lohrasp Kansara and of Indian descent, was raised in Geneva, Switzerland; He then migrated to the United States at the age of 14 in order to pursue his dream of being a professional basketball player. After graduating college with an astounding 4.0 GPA in Economics in 3 years, from SUNY Purchase, DJ L relinquished his basketball career and devoted his full attention to a music career. As a deejay, L is called upon to create the musical atmosphere - better known as “The DJ L Experience.” L taps into his versatile musical repertoire, encompassing everything from hip-hop, r&b, reggae, house, 80's, classic rock, pop, and mash-ups, and the latest chart-toppers. He effortlessly blends musical genres no matter the client or setting -- preserving the crowd's energy and enthusiasm is L's main delight. L deejays about 4 to 5 nights a week. Some of DJ L's past and present clients include Leonardo Dicaprio, Alex Rodriquez, Madonna, Danity Kane, Busta Rhymes, Swizz Beats, Pussycat Dolls, LL Cool J, MTV, BET's "106 and Park", the NBA, the NFL, Baby Phat, and other popular brands and artists. Not to mention, DJ L played alongside Tommy Lee at Highline Ballroom. After their performance Tommy Lee told L "You're a bad mothaf*^#er!" Indeed, DJ L travels throughout the country and has gained residencies at some of the most exclusive venues in New York City -- as well as, being booked internationally spinning all over the globe and making stops in Orlando, Miami, Houston, Chicago, Atlanta, LA, San Jose, Canada, Dubai, France, London, Switzerland, Germany , Haiti, Jamaica, Antigua, and Japan- just to name a few. DJ L's music success is not limited to his work in the nightclub. He has subsequently released a song in the summer of 2008- “Take it to the Top”, which features major recording artists -- legendary reggae artist Junior Reid, Cassidy, Sheek Louch, Joel Ortiz and Harlem's Cash. Setting yourself apart from others in the highly competitive music business is not a simple task. For some, it is nearly impossible. But for L it's his main objective. Nonetheless, music and fashion seem to go hand in hand for DJ L. He recently inked a deal with one of the top modeling agencies, Ikon Model Management. He has also become the face of M07 Clothing while being part of their national campaign advertisement. Also, recently, DJ L became one of the faces for T.I.'s new brand- Akoo Clothing. In 2010, he was asked by Rajvi Mohan, one of India's most upscale designers, to DJ and walk in her show during NYC's fall fashion week.
