Description

Since signing with Zone 4/Interscope back in March, Lloyd has been busy prepping his 4th studio album, which he recently announced via twitter (@lloyd_yg) will be titled ‘King of Hearts’. After working with a talented pool of producers and writers including Jim Jonsin, Rico Love, The Runners, Ester Dean, and Bruno Mars, to name a few, the 24 year old R&B singer releases his debut single, “Lay It Down”, produced by Awesome Jones (aka Polow Da Don). The track samples the Patti Labelle classic “Love, Need and Want You”, and will lead the release of King of Hearts which is due out first quarter 2011. Acclaimed songwriter/producer Polow Da Don had this to say of his work with Lloyd, “Real music, real singing, classic.” Lloyd offered his thoughts on his new situation and single, "It feels good to start fresh with Polow and Interscope, making music is fun again. We took my sound to another level with "Lay It Down". It's a true R&B sound that's missing from music right now."
