Starting to rap at the age of only 15, and now with streams going well into the millions, 19-year-old rapper Lakeyah Danaee Robinson, better known as Lakeyah, has since released her talent to the world. Hailing from Milwaukee, Lakeyah’s career is going from success to success. The daring and energetic artist first came to prominence as a member of the duo BTW (Beyond the Music). The duo’s video “Fucked up love story” was a smash hit in 2017, allowing the young singer to rise in her own right. Then breaking off as a solo act, Lakeyah quickly built a name for herself. At only 17, she released “The Keymix”, which received over a million streams. After a move to Atlanta, she released “Keymix 2”, also attaining huge numbers of streams. Recently, she has been busy with her mixtape Time’s Up – her first since signing to Quality Control Music. Among its 10 tracks, the mixtape includes one of her most successful songs “Female Goat”. Explicit and bursting with energy, the song perfectly shows the young rapper’s potential. City Girls, the group with which she recently collaborated, feature in the song.
