Mike Hayes (HEYZ) is a music producer, DJ, and internet personality from Greensboro, North Carolina. Hayes’ got his start in 2018 when his natural ability to craft music piqued the interest of deadmau5’s renowned mau5trap. After a slew of singles and an EP with mau5trap, HEYZ would stylistically pivot to place a focal point on bass music in favor of the techno he was making at the time. Since, he’s released on established imprints the likes of the U.K.’s Circus Records, Jauz’s Bite This!, Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats, and more recently, Lowly. Over the course of the last 2 years, his TikTok following has grown to over half a million, further solidifying his main goal of disseminating comedic relief and positivity to a world that very much so needs it, all by just being himself. With the 2021 release of his ‘Who Is HEYZ’ EP, HEYZ solidified himself as a Deadbeats mainstay and has since become a frequent performer on the labels extensive touring schedule. Following his late 2021 remix of Zeds Dead and MKLA’s hit “Alive” and 2022 singles ‘Touched’ (Deadbeats) and “See Me” (Lowly), HEYZ is gearing up for a massive summer packed with new music, festival performances and more.
