Farid “Fredwreck” Nassar has been a part of the west coast hip hop sound for a decade, writing and producing for artists including Dr. Dre, Eminem, D12, 50 Cent, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, Nate Dogg, Everlast, and Cypress Hill, among others. He grew up breakdancing and deejaying in Southern California and was one of the early members of the Wake Up Show with Sway, King Tech & Joe Quixx. It was there that Fred became distinguished for his beats. He started remixing, writing, and producing for major labels, which led to a gig as Director of A&R at MCA Records, under legendary Bomb Squad producer Hank Shocklee. Collaborations with Xzibit and Soopafly eventually led to production deals with Daz, Kurupt and Snoop Dogg. In addition to deejaying, Fred has played keyboards in bands for Snoop, Cypress Hill and Westside Connection, for whom he penned the top 5 single, “Gangsta Nation”. Fredwreck’s songs and scores have been featured in various motion pictures and film soundtracks. He is currently working in the studio with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Britney Spears, Hilary Duff, and Eminem.
