Description

DROOG is the DJ collective of Andrei Osyka, Brett Griffin and Justin Sloe. From their start 5 years ago, DROOG has steadily built a reputation as one of the leading purveyors of forward‐thinking dance music, in Los Angeles and beyond. Known for their respected parties that featured leading international house and techno talent, from Magda and Jamie Jones to Dixon and Seth Troxler and showcase parties at WMC, DEMF and BPM festivals. From 2006 to 2010 Droog has held down a residency at Avalon Hollywood, one of the biggest clubs in the US. At Avalon, they have had the chance to play alongside influences such as Richie Hawtin, Lee Burridge, Steve Lawler, Damian Lazarus, Tiefschwarz, Mr. C, Booka Shade, MANDY, Matthew Dear and Steve Bug. Their musical influence contributed to the club's most adventurous period of bookins. In 2009 Droog has began the exploration of a new frontier in launching an LA-based record label, Culprit, that has spawned successful releases from Matt Tolfrey& Inxec, Hot Natured, Kenneth James Gibson aka [a]pendics.shuffle, SECT (Soul Clap, Tanner Ross & Sergio Santos), Adultnapper, M A N I K, Subb-an, Lee Curtiss, Shonky, Lee Foss. In the last three years, Droog has expanded their reach by playing highly respected clubs and discerning parties around the world. So far their travels have taken them to shows at Fabric London, T Bar, Rex Club, Arena Club (Berlin), Space (Miami), Spybar (Chicago), Zoo Project (Ibiza) Electric Pickle (Miami) and Stereo (Montreal); gigs in Barcelona, Moscow, Nottingham, Mexicali & Tijuana, Tampa, New York, San Francisco. in 2010 Droog made first steps in music production. They've released remixes for Culprit, NOICE and Supernature labels. 2011 saw the release of Droog's debut EP of original material for Crosstown Rebels, in collaboration with Inxec. More remix work has come courtesy My Favorite Robot, Murmur and Adjunct Audio.
