Canadian-born with global influences, DJ Doran honed his craft in what is arguably the nightlife and electronic music capital of the world, Barcelona, Spain. Doran started his career in investment banking and after many years as a global traveler and club-goer decided to follow his dreams and make his passion for music a reality. Doran now splits his time between New York City and Barcelona and is a regular on the nightlife circuit, playing in some of Europe’s most renowned venues including Opium Mar, Shoko, and Mellow Beach. He is a resident dj of Miniclub Barcelona, an underground after hours that has been graced by great artists like Magda, Richie Hawtin, Tobi Neumann, Alexi Delano, Anja Schneider, Alex Celler & Anthea, and Mauricio Vargas among others. Doran plays emotionally provocative house and techno that he hopes makes audiences feel happy, cool, rocking, and loved. His sessions are known for their elegance and positive energy and have been compared to renowned artists such as Desyn Masiello and D-Nox & Beckers. In 2010 Doran toured South America including gigs in Brazil (Museum, Love Story) and Uruguay (Living Room). He has also played in London including the infamous club Cirque du Soir and he was part of the lineup at the launch party of ¨Backstage¨- the number one party in London for the underground celebrity/fashion crowd. Doran’s musical influences include S.O.S., Steve Lawler, and Deep Dish. His upcoming plans include gigs across the Americas including warm up slots with some of the biggest names in electronic music.
