In 2005, after amassing a vinyl record collection of over5,000 songs during the previous 11 years, David traded in his records for alaptop as he made the switch to the vinyl-emulation software Serato ScratchLive. Opening up new avenues for music and his live sets while allowing him tostay true to his turntablist roots, David quickly mastered Serato and beganmaking his own edits of popular music as the mash-up movement was in full swing.It was during this time that David really took Hollywood by storm, securinglong-standing residencies at 5 of the top nightclubs in town while playing gigsat practically every club in LA and other major cities, while sharing the stagewith top-name artists such as WILL.I.AM, 2 LIVE CREW, LMFAO, MADCON, DJ CLASS,YA BOY, YOUNG BERG, MICKEY AVALON, THE BRAVERY, THE SOUNDS, LIL PLAYY, BIG SEANand many others.
