Born in Montego, Jamaica and raised in Bronx, DJ Mark Da Spot was influenced by many of New York’s legendary DJs, including DJ Kid Capri, Jam Master Jay and Biz Markie. He was originally discovered while spinning at exclusive clubs in NYC, when he happened to impress and meet superstar Justin Timberlake who hired him to DJ. This meeting was a catalyst for Mark Da Spot’s relocation to Los Angeles, where his working relationship with Timberlake continues to this day. It didn’t take long for LA catch on to what DJ Mark Da Spot had to offer, and he soon took over at many of Hollywood and Los Angeles hottest clubs. His list of superstar fans would continue to grow as he was later discovered by Prince who now regularly hires him for parties after falling in love with the DJ’s playing style of Funk and Oldies. His clientele list of A-List celebrities now includes Hugh Hefner, Jennifer Lopez, Michael Jordan, Paul Pierce, Cuttino Mobley, Reggie Miller, LeBron James and Allen Iverson, just to name a few. In addition to being booked six nights a week in different clubs in Hollywood, DJ Mark Da Spot travels to DJ at venues all over the country and has worked events at the NBA All Star Weekend and the Super Bowl for the last several years. He’s also brought his skills on the turntable to other part of the world, spinning in Australia, France, India and has been given the rare opportunity and life changing experience of deejaying for the troops in Iraq two years in a row. DJ Mark Da Spot has also founded Top Floor Entertainment, which works with other DJ’s and has become the Hollywood nightlife favorite for film, media and music industry people. Recent celebrities he has worked with include: Ne-Yo, Rihanna, Keyshia Cole, Jamie Foxx, Meagan Good, The Dream, Day 26, Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Jay Z, Forest Whitaker, Anthony Hamilton, Bill Bellamy, Case, Columbus Short, DeRay Davis, Katt Williams, Mekhi Pfeiffer, Ron Browz, Trey Songz, Vanessa and Angela Simmons and others.DJ Mark Da Spot is also a Monster Cable DJ and is currently the official tour dj for Tank (R&B Singer on Atlantic Records).
