From Southern California to the Western Caribbean, DJ EarwaxXx, is taking on the music world at full speed brining his unique style of musical compositions to clubs, schools, and even the high seas.
Born and raised in the San Fernando Valley as Charleston Perez, the grandson of a touring jazz pianist, and brother of a drummer, was destined for the music world. Inspired by the disc jockey's of Los Angeles' very own Power 106 FM and K-Day, he experimented with vinyl and turntables back in the summer of 1993 and began his ascension into the DJ realm. Soon he was opening for headline acts such as Common, The Roots, DJ Qbert, D-Styles, Planet Asia, Keri Hilson, and the Average White Band and bringing his signature style of flawless blends, impeccable scratches and intricate trick-mixing.
Currently, EarwaxXx has residencies at TAO, TAO Beach, LAVO, The Beatles Revolution Lounge (The Mirage) and has made guest appearances at Body English (Hard Rock Hotel LV), Social (Hollywood), NOX (Houston), 8 Waves Waterpark (Bulacan, Phillipines), spinning a range of musical styles from Hip Hop and R&B to Electro and Mashups. Past performances have included Hollywood clubs Holly's East & West, Element, Elevate Lounge, Shag, and the Highlands as well as the Rock The Bells Tour, the biggest and most influential Hip Hop festival in the country. He has worked with legendary turntablists and artists DJ Qbert and D-Styles and is featured on Qbert's Scratchlopedia Breaktanica: 100 Secret Scratches DVD (ThudRumble), EA Sport's Need For Speed video game, and MTV's One World Hip Hop Championship.
EarwaxXx also set sail with the Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas spinning onboard the luxury cruiseliner's onboard Nightclub and lounge where he taught cruisers of all ages the intricacies of spinning their favorite tunes as part of the Scratch DJ 101 classes created by the renowned Scratch Academy.
EarwaxXx is already in high demand for his music, live performances, and DJ lectures, and continues to build his reputation and revolutionize the art of mixing in Las Vegas and beyond.
