Description

DJ Assault (* 19th October 1977 in Detroit as Craig De Shan Adams ) is a ghetto-tech - and Hip-Hop - DJ , producer and MC . He became internationally known for his track Ass 'N' Titties. According to his own statements, Adams began to work as a DJ as early as 1982. He studied marketing for three years at Clark Atlanta University , but dropped out again to put on records in Detroit. His success began when he founded the Electrofunk Records label in 1996 in collaboration with producer Mr. De '(Ade Mainor) . They produced a series of 12 "records under the name DJ Assault until the year 2000. Stylistically, he was diverse, the most striking feature of his tracks is that they are always designed for high danceability, often have high BPM numbers and thematically mostly around it successfully-making ass 'N' Titties (ger .:, ass and tits') circle. Other well-known tracks from this period were Crank this Mutha and Sex on the Beach. He decisively shaped the style characteristics of Ghetto Tech, a mixture of style elements from HipHop, House, Dance / Techno and Electro. The forefathers of dance music criticized him several times for simply bringing together the simplest and most popular styles of dance music. His Straight Up Detroit Shit Mix CDs were re-released due to the high " cult factor " . In this series, the mixed tracks sometimes alternate every 30 seconds, so the CDs often have 99 tracks. DJ Assault has played at parties in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Great Britain, Japan, Australia and North America. In 2000, the production team fell out. Since then, Assault has operated the Jefferson Avenue label , on which he produces additional 12 " records and CDs. These contain old tracks and new recordings.
