Description
DJ/Producer Dalton Loughlin [DJ DL] was born and raised in New York City. His father was the manager of the China Club in the late 80's early 90's, as well as a long list of A list night clubs in New York City, Los Angeles, and Aspen Colorado. DL grew up in a house where night life was looked at as a serious business. He feels growing up in NYC was a blessing sonically, because of the menagerie of sound he was exposed to at such a young age. On one end of the spectrum of sound, he had his mother and father who constantly listened to bands like Chaka Khan, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins and Stevie Wonder. And on the other end, being educated in the NYC public school system, he was engulfed in, and captivated by the gritty sounds of The Notorious B.I.G, Black Moon, Jay-z, Nas, Gang Star, Brand Nubian..etc. At the age of 15 he bought his first turntables and began spinning as a hobby. A year later he was fortunate enough to meet Mark Ronson through one of his good childhood friends Rory William's, who worked as Marks road manger at the time.So at the age of 16, he began sneaking into events with a fake I.D, to hear dj's like Mark, Stretch Armstrong, and Kid Capris, spin on a regular basis. Those events, and those dj's in particular, had a significant effect on DL's decision to begin looking at djing not as a mere hobby, but as a career. Presently, after almost ten years in the business at the young age of 25, DL has already spun for, or alongside legendary names such as: Paul Oakenfold, Carl Cox, Sasha and Digweed, Just Blaze, Swizz Beats, Puff Daddy, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Missy Elliot, Timbaland, DJ Premier, DJ AM, Mark Ronson, Funkmaster Flex, Qtip, DJ Stretch Armstrong, and Pete Rock to name a few. Having spun celebrity/ red carpet events at countless A list venues in the U.S and Internationally, he has been able to hone his knowledge for what truly makes the body move on the dance floor. He has developed a name as a solid dj, who can rock any genre of crowd that you put in front of him. Please keep your eyes and ears open for this young hungry talent. And please enjoy the music!
