Cobra Starship


Cobra Starship is a pop punk electro band originally created by Midtown bassist / vocalist Gabe Saporta as a side project, they are perhaps best known for his song "Bring It (Snakes on a Plane)" which appeared on the soundtrack of the action film Snakes on a Plane and their single "Good Girls Go Bad", which contained the Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester and peaked at 7 on the Billboard 100 current members of Cobra Starship with vocalist Saporta include Victoria Asher (nicknamed "Vicky-T") (keytar) Ryland Blackinton (guitar) Alex Suarez (bass) and Nate Novarro (drums)

Cobra Starship band whose name comes from the singer and founder Gabe Saporta two "old vintage-style jackets," formed in 2005 in New York City with Ryland Blackinton and Alex Suarez of Ivy League Elisa Schwartz and Nate Novarro (who previously worked as a drum tech for the bands Hidden in Plain View and Armor for Sleep)

In early 2009 the band had a cabin in Pennsylvania in an effort to track some songs for the new album they had begun working on they continued to maintain contact with their fans via a live camera feed using the Stickam website published a song called "Pete Wentz is the only reason We're Famous" on their MySpace onetime of their stay were fans first taste of the direction of the new album

On 11 May the band released the first single "Good Girls Go Bad" on the iTunes song features Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester working on her first album release in autumn The song reached the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at # 7 generally received positive reactions
In early May the music video for Good Girls Go Bad was filmed and had premiere on 29 June by MTV The video was very well received and was nominated for two MTV VMAs best directing and Best Pop Video

The new album is called Hot Mess was released August 11 Hot Mess on Decaydance and Fueled By Ramen, and was received with mostly positive reviews in addition Meester's appearance on the album Hot Mess boasts guest vocals fri?? n Cassadee Bob Pope of Hey Monday, and was produced by Kevin Rudolph also is required to leave credits for Patrick Stump and Pete Wentz

The second single released from this album was Hot Mess 'Hot Mess' It is rumored third single from the album is to be "Nice Guys Finish Last"
