Description
Los Angeles born, New York City based DJ/Producer Clockwork has been churning out heavy hitting tracks since 2009. The young producer began building his online buzz when his bootleg remixes topped the Hype Machine “Popular Charts” time and time again. As time progressed, his sound continued to develop, catching the attention of house/electro icon Lee Mortimer. Mortimer invited Clockwork to release his debut 4-track EP on his label, Wearhouse Music. The EP ended up receiving stellar feedback from names like Mary Anne Hobbes, Foamo, Reset!, and many more. Clockwork has continued to release his music on a large scale, with a 2-track EP out on the Hardfest vs. Gotta Dance Dirty micro-label “Dirty Nitrus”, and another EP set to release fall 2011 on Steve Aoki’s label Dim Mak Records. Clockwork has officially remixed names from Theophilus London to Dem Slackers, with his remix work just as thriving as his original productions, shown recently when his bootleg remix of Avicii’s notorious big room anthem “Levels” reached over 30,000 plays on Soundcloud.
Clockwork’s distinctive bass-heavy, big round sound has received support from the likes of Laidback Luke, Steve Aoki, Hardwell, Congorock, Crookers, JFK of MSTRKRFT, Felix Cartal, Sound Of Stereo, AC Slater, Foamo, Lee Mortimer, Kill the Noise, Tommie Sunshine, Autoerotique, Mustard Pimp, and many more. Clockwork’s stellar DJ sets are always high energy and innovative as his productions, helping earn him a spot on the line-up at the 2011 Hard Haunted Mansion Festival. 2010 showed countless accomplishments for Clockwork, but it truly is just the beginning. With a strong work ethic, forward thinking production style, and creative strive for quality, Clockwork’s future is looking very bright.
