There aren’t many artists that can say their inspirations veer wildly from D’Angelo to Tame Impala, but if it’s one thing to know, it’s that Montreal-based band Chiiild are not doing things by the book. And sonically, the slow unfurling tendrils of R&B, psychedelia and soul are perceptible in their heady pop – already making waves with hypnotic tracks such as “Back To Life” and “Count Me Out”.
