A rare "Triple Threat"...As a Producer, Songwriter and Recording Artist. Before he was able to drive, BenOne was already a recording artist who had sold 325,000 units with a hit single on the Billboard Top 100 Charts as a member of the group Strong.
Born and Raised on the South Side of Chicago, BenOne's love of music began at the age of 2 as he’d listen to the tunes his stepfather had created for the late blues legend Tyrone Davis. For Ben, music was his therapy, “The more I did it, the better I got at it,” BenOne states. At the tender age of 12 (1999), BenOne co-wrote the single, “I Can’t Hide”, under his first record deal with Un-D-Nyable Records (owned by White Sox hall of famer Frank Thomas).
In 2004 he went solo and has since taken flight. In 2008, BenOne wrote and recorded “Never Leave My Girl” featuring Def Jam recording artist “Shawnna”. As a result, he inked a deal with Universal Republic 3 months later, which resulted in another Hit song “My Eyes”! His new single in 2010 “Beat it Like A Drum” featured “Twista” and various Chicago Artist, included his brother “Dra’Day”.
BenOne has been featured in several major magazines nationally, interviewed with radio and television stations abroad and was nominated as one of the top up-and-coming R&B sensations.
BenOne is currently launching his new label FutureBoy Music Group.
In 2012, his first mixtape release, “Yo Body” contains all original music, written and produced by him with several featured artists. His new club banger “Jedi Whip” features “John Blu” and “Shawnna”. It’s highly anticipated as another BenOne mega hit!
The FutureBoy, BenOne will follow up giving the industry and fans another piece of his Futuristic Sound on the up and coming “Bendamonium” MixTape.
“I write based on my day-to-day journey and make music that the people can relate to and grow with. I’m not making music because I’m a great singer - I’m making music to show I’m the complete package, and most importantly, to inspire others.”
