If asked to describe their sound you may get the response “We are the unwanted love child of Stone Temple Pilots and Alice in Chains”. Though they are influenced by a wide range of artists their most common influences are Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains and Jimi Hendrix.
Their debut EP, released in December 2008, was recorded and produced at NYC’s Skyline Studios by Grammy winner Ron Allaire (Pantera, Keith Richards) and Jonathan Mover (Fuel, Everlast, Shakira). 13th Floor has played renowned NYC venues such as CBGBs, Highline Ballroom, Crash Mansion, Mercury Lounge and just completed a five week residency at Arlenes Grocery in March 2009.
