Star Slinger Details

Star Slinger is a producer and DJ based in Manchester, UK, taking influences mainly from the worlds of house and hip hop. He first came to attention after self-releasing a beat tape in the summer of 2010 entitled "Volume 1". He then collaborated with Sean Bowie aka Teams on the Teams vs. Star Slinger EP. This early output suggested a more fun take on instrumental hip-hop, with nods to house music & an innovative sampling style.

The next few years saw Slinger become an in-demand remixer, servicing the likes of Jessie Ware & Gold Panda. He also got the chance to work on some originals with some of his favourite rappers, namely Lil B The Based God and Juicy J of Three 6 Mafia fame on singles "Bad Bitches" & "Chain Dumbin".

2012 saw Slinger focus on the dancier side of his work. He started his own club night & label JET JAM with friends & visual artists Anze Sekelj & Michaela Selmani. The night boasted it would have "No emphasis on BPM". Bondax & Slinger were resident DJ's for the night & so far have thrown sold out parties in the US including New York, Seattle & Los Angeles after throwing the first ever party in Ljubljana.

In November 2012, Slinger released the "Ladies In The Back" single featuring Teki Latex on vocals on his own JET JAM label. He has also signed a publishing deal with EMI in the US. A new LP from Slinger should be out in 2013.
