Few have a recent back catalogue as rich and diverse as Randomer. His discography reads like a who's who of modern techno: across a six year career, he's produced four EPs for Untold's Hemlock Recordings; released records for Hessle Audio, Numbers and Clone; and most recently, been cherrypicked for Ron Morelli's L.I.E.S.  
 
As a DJ, he's one of the UK's finest, capable of effortlessly stitching together modern bass with classic techno and less esoteric 4/4 rhythms.

The best kinds of clubs are owned by the sort people who care about the things that make a club good: the décor, the drinks, the staff and most importantly, the music. Monarch in San Francisco manages to get high marks on all three. The 300-person capacity spot is split into an upstairs bar and lounge area, with a downstairs dance floor with its own bar. Monarch’s design will catch your eyes – an intriguing mix of steampunk (tuba/chandelier? Check), modernism, dark wood, industrial accents, and almost burlesque flourishes. The main floor is split by a wall containing an acrobat’s perch, complete with swing and visible on either side. Plenty of cushy seating, and a free photo booth add to the appeal. The basement dance floor area is its own little world. Voted Best Sound System by SF Weekly, Monarch’s Void Acoustics rig – one of a very small handful in the U.S. – is a marvel of clarity and bass, anchored by their unique-looking horn speakers. The lighting tends to be minimal, really letting the sound stand out. With its poured concrete bar and DJ table, high ceilings (for a basement) and a couple of bottle service alcoves, the downstairs has played host to some amazing talent, from Miguel Migs, Julius Papp, SF icon David Harness, Marques Wyatt, the Fort Knox Five, and Martin Buttrich. The music trends mostly towards house and its sub-genres, but you’ll find a sprinkling of others, and the occasional live band. Despite its lofty name, the Monarch sits in San Francisco’s relatively um, shall we call it…sketchy? Mission neighborhood. Don’t let this stop you. The Monarch is a gem of little spot, and so long as you stay aware, you’ll be fine.

Part of a bigger take over that included the legendary Club Space, former after hours hot spot Libertine has reopened its doors as Floyd, a haven for jazzy live performances, eclectic DJ sets, disco, and soulful house.

Floyd opened in the former Libertine space in January. Floyd will coexist independently of its big brother Club Space, offering a completely different atmosphere, ambiance and talent lineup. 

According to Sinopoli, the partners took a step back to rethink how to best use the venue. What they came back with is a more mature space that offers well-made cocktails and live music such as jazz, lounge, and even chamber orchestra. It is less intimidating than the party-till-sunrise marathon that happens upstairs. The place is located in Miami's 24-hour district, so it might stay open until 7 a.m., with more soulful house playing in the early-morning hours. It will also be open more often than Space.

"Saturday, the [Space] Terrace is a ritual," Sinopoli says. "Floyd is going to be an everyday bar for industry or people leaving the Arsht Center or a Miami Heat game or [who've] just left work and want to see a jazz band. We are going after a demographic that doesn't go to 11th Street at all right now... that goes to hotel or jazz bars, a little bit more refined taste that still likes to have fun but doesn't like the pretense of feeling like they are in a stuffy establishment."

Floyd is also an attempt to get the general public to see Space as more than just an after-hours spot, Sinopoli says. Perhaps those turned off by party mayhem will try Floyd or the soon-to-open live-music venue.

Corsica Studios (previously known as the Corsica Arts Club) is a medium-sized, two-roomed music space located in close proximity to Elephant & Castle tube station in south-east London. A rotating cast list of promoters and labels stage events at the venue each Friday and Saturday. The music pushed at the club is rooted in house, techno, electro and disco, but often incorporates dubstep, drum & bass and bass music. Open since 2005, the club is known for its intimate, urban atmosphere and solid soundsystems.

De School opened in January of 2016 on Doctor Jan van Breemenstraat in Amsterdam's west. The venue, which used to be a technical school, is more than a nightclub: it's also has a concert venue, a restaurant, a café, an exhibition space and a gym. It has a 24-hour license and is open seven days a week. The nightclub has a capacity of 700 and is located in the school's former bicycle storage area. The club's programming focuses on local DJs, who are given the opportunity to play extended sets, but international guests also regularly stop by. 

In addition to the club, De School hosts concerts in a 200-capacity former workshop. Its secluded outdoor courtyard is open all year round to members of the public, not just club-goers. De School is owned and run by Post CS BV—the same crew that ran Amsterdam nightclubs Trouw and Club 11.

The Club Level features an acoustically treated studio-quality room showcasing a custom Funktion One sound system and a next-generation lighting rig designed to heighten the experience. It provides a balance between dance floor, fully stocked bar and wall-to-wall bench seating.

Brixton club Phonox looks to be kind of a big deal for south London nightlife, and in fact London clubbing as a whole. After the team behind acclaimed nightspots including XOYO, The Nest, the Old Queen’s Head and the Blues Kitchen franchises purchased the site of former Brixton club Plan B when it shut down, they wasted little time in transforming it into Phonox. A 30-year-old icon of Berlin's clubbing scene and a huge influence on the country's techno culture, Tresor was originally located in the vault of a department store in East Berlin. After some years of difficulty, it reopened in 2007 in a 236,000-square-foot abandoned power plant. The new digs carry on its techno revolution tradition: The derelict space of the factory, complete with a state-of-the-art sound system and red lighting, is an ultra-intense experience for even the most passionate clubber. It includes three interlinked floors play house and electronic music, while an almost-100-foot tunnel leads to the main dance floor.

When out clubbing, you can’t really seem to hear anything over the loud music, but it’s compromise you’re willing to make. Fortunately, at Vent Tokyo you don’t have to sacrifice your eardrums for the sake of a fun night. Club Vent Tokyo opened this year, and it features optimal acoustics within its walls in order to provide guests with a one-of-a-kind music experience. You get the best of both worlds: A place to dance to a crafted selection of house and techno music all night, and a lounge where you can sip on your favorite drinks and relax. Vent Tokyo is located inside a building on a main intersection in Omotesando. Once you find the Festae Omotesando building, you just go straight to the very end of the first floor, and Vent Tokyo will be down the concrete stairs. The space has an underground charm to it. The doors open at 11pm and stay open until 6am! When you first walk in, you may think you’ve entered a concrete art gallery. The layout is nothing short of an art piece itself, with a very minimalist and chic interior. There are two bars, one behind the entrance booth which plays Japanese techno or house music, and the main bar. The main bar and lounge have a space for people to stand and mingle. It also offers small seating options (reserved seats included) and nature-inspired art pieces. The lounge turns into the dance room as two concrete slits in the wall divide the spaces. Not only is it visually interesting, but the club’s structure and building materials themselves were carefully chosen to aid in the natural refraction of sound throughout the space.

You can’t miss Village Underground thanks to the four brightly coloured, graffiti-covered tube carriages, now artists’ studios, perched on its roof. The recycled Jubilee line carriages, and accompanying shipping containers, accommodate a community of artists, writers, designers, filmmakers and musicians. Village Underground is housed in a renovated turn-of-the-century warehouse primed for everything from concerts and club nights to exhibitions, theatre, live art, and other performances. Music-wise, indie, electronic, experimental, hip-hop and much more besides could potentially feature on any given night at Village Underground. Shoreditch High Street, Old Street and Liverpool Street stations are the nearby transport hubs.
