Stereo Live

Stereo Live

Houston’s Stereo Live is the brainchild of one of Texas’ biggest and best EDM promoters. As such, they have a pretty good understanding of how to put together a club, and the balls and the money to put together a really big club. Spread out over 30,000 sq. ft., two floors and an expansive outdoor patio, Stereo live has staked its claim as the king of the EDM scene. The list of headliners that have taken to the main stage (yes an actual stage, not just an elevated DJ booth) reads like a who’s-who of national and international superstars: Paul Van Dyk, Kaskade, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren, Afrojack, Nadia Ali, Starkillers, ATB, Benny Benassi, and the list goes on.

Both the Irish bar and 77 Degrees are imports from Austin where the concepts originated. Base

Base

Downtown Houston has a new place to party. Meet Base, a new nightclub located in Market Square. Don’t let the name cause confusion about a potentially Astros-themed spot. Base’s name is meant to be taken literally, as it occupies the basement of 801 Congress Ave. The dance floor, which resides beneath a lighting fixture that changes color, projects different shapes, and pulses with the music that emanates from the nearby DJ booth. A wide variety of tables and couches provide high rollers with a perch to observe the action.
