Top 10 Best Clubs in Berlin, BER [2026 GUIDE]
Best of Berlin
Berghain

New York has swag, Rome has history, and Berlin has legendary nightlife. And perhaps no club in Berlin (or the world, for that matter) is more hallowed than Berghain. Set in a former East German power station, this cavernous, nondescript warehouse is the Holy Grail for techno fans, hosting three-day-long debauchery-induced raves. Every weekend, the club attracts some of the best DJs from all over the planet to spin and pump beats so intense that they ring in your bones instead of your ears. These days, the club’s notoriously hard door policy is as famous as the club itself. But if you don’t make it past the 1,000-foot cue, don’t fret: Berghain is just one of more than 200 clubs in Berlin. And from techno temples to mellow canal-side haunts, there's something here for everyone.

Tresor

A 30-year-old icon of Berlin's clubbing scene and a huge influence on the country's techno culture, Tresor was originally located in the vault of a department store in East Berlin. After some years of difficulty, it reopened in 2007 in a 236,000-square-foot abandoned power plant. The new digs carry on its techno revolution tradition: The derelict space of the factory, complete with a state-of-the-art sound system and red lighting, is an ultra-intense experience for even the most passionate clubber. It includes three interlinked floors play house and electronic music, while an almost-100-foot tunnel leads to the main dance floor.

Golden Gate

Nestled beneath the Jannowitzbrücke train stop, Golden Gate is one of Berlin's grittiest clubs. The interior is small, dark and mostly free of decoration. It's known for having exceptionally long operating hours, even for Berlin—most weeks there's one party on Thursday night that finishes on Friday afternoon, then a second one that starts on Friday at midnight and lasts until Monday morning. The club consists of one main dance floor, a small sitting area, a bathroom section upstairs and a small garden in the summer. The music is mostly up-front tech house, usually by Berlin-based DJs.

Salon Zur Wilden Renate

If you’re looking for a place to stumble down a dreamy rabbit hole, Salon zur Wilden Renate is the perfect place, thanks to an atmosphere that screams debaucherous party—in your grandma’s house. On its famous theme nights, don’t be surprised to see trippy and individually decorated rooms, dance floors blaring everything from electro to disco and everything in between—and maybe even an indoor treehouse. There’s also an outdoor courtyard area, if you can find it, with its own bar that makes for a great space to catch your breath before diving back into the madness—or crashing on the benches and divans peppered throughout the rooms.
