ItaloJohnson is comprised of three people. They make music that is intended to be played in nightclubs so that people may dance. The music is not complicated. It is direct and simple. In this simplicity, memories, influences and emotions are affectionately invested. It is hoped that these are then transmitted. It is hoped that these are then felt and carried further. Simple body soul music. That’s all.

Brooklyn Mirage is the outdoor oasis in the Avant Gardner complex, situated in the heart of East Williamsburg. It's open during the summer season each year, and decked out with thousands of plants and even palm trees, and boasting a KV2 Audio system, it's designed to be a sensory experience for both the ears and eyes.

It is the outdoor component of Avant Gardner, an 80,000-square-foot development at 140 Stewart Avenue in an industrial corridor of the East Williamsburg neighborhood, a few grubby blocks from Queens. By fall, a warehouse (now filled with sacks of cement mix and construction equipment) will be transformed into an event space. Another area will become a 5,000-square-foot club. All told, it will hold 6,000 visitors.

Located in the heart of Itaewon, Seoul. Faust is an intimate two-room club hosting top international DJs as well as the best of the local Korean scene. Audiophiles can immerse themselves in the dark, acoustically treated main room featuring a world-class hand crafted Kirsch Audio system or find a more downtempo and relaxed social scene at Tanz bar. Faust was built both for the true lovers of the underground scene as well as for those who are seeking a richer, deeper musical and nightlife experience.

Flash opened its doors in June of 2013 as a collaboration between long-time lovers of music, former DJ’s, and music industry vets. Their goal was to present an intimate space where artists can express themselves clearly and fans can hear their favorite artists in an ideal setting.

The Club Level features an acoustically treated studio-quality room showcasing a custom Funktion One sound system and a next-generation lighting rig designed to heighten the experience. It provides a balance between dance floor, fully stocked bar and wall-to-wall bench seating.

The ground floor, appropriately named Flash Bar, features a separate dance floor and DJ area, coat check, ATM, additional restrooms, and a fully stocked bar specializing in a wide selection of liquor and hand-crafted cocktails.

Flash is open every Friday and Saturday night with headlining national and international DJ talents covering a wide spectrum of house music, from deep to techno. Other styles of music are also presented numerous nights per week.

Sounds that permeate the air, neon lights, great drinks, a lively crowd…the exhilarating events of a night out are always fun in a city that never sleeps. When out clubbing, you can’t really seem to hear anything over the loud music, but it’s compromise you’re willing to make. Fortunately, at Vent Tokyo you don’t have to sacrifice your eardrums for the sake of a fun night. Club Vent Tokyo opened this year, and it features optimal acoustics within its walls in order to provide guests with a one-of-a-kind music experience. You get the best of both worlds: A place to dance to a crafted selection of house and techno music all night, and a lounge where you can sip on your favorite drinks and relax. Vent Tokyo is located inside a building on a main intersection in Omotesando. Once you find the Festae Omotesando building, you just go straight to the very end of the first floor, and Vent Tokyo will be down the concrete stairs. The space has an underground charm to it. The doors open at 11pm and stay open until 6am! When you first walk in, you may think you’ve entered a concrete art gallery. The layout is nothing short of an art piece itself, with a very minimalist and chic interior. There are two bars, one behind the entrance booth which plays Japanese techno or house music, and the main bar. The main bar and lounge have a space for people to stand and mingle. It also offers small seating options (reserved seats included) and nature-inspired art pieces. The lounge turns into the dance room as two concrete slits in the wall divide the spaces. Not only is it visually interesting, but the club’s structure and building materials themselves were carefully chosen to aid in the natural refraction of sound throughout the space.

Robert Hood and his daughter Lyric have collaborated on the next Floorplan EP, set for release 24th May via the Detroit legend’s M-PLANT label.

The two tracker, ‘So Glad/I Feel Him Moving’, is a typically rapturous crossover of gospel, disco and techno. The release coincides with the duo’s first ever live show together at Movement, which takes place next weekend.
